Meet Ashton
TMC Workforce Development & Training Coordinator
Ashton has an impressive background in masonry as she has competed in many local and state competitions in North Carolina. In 2018, Ashton won her first SkillsUSA state masonry title qualifying her for nationals, in which she brought home the Gold! One national title wasn’t enough, so she went back and did it again in 2019 becoming the first female to win the SkillsUSA National Masonry Contest back-to-back. From her background in bricklaying to interning with a project manager, she’s well versed in what it takes to be in this industry.
In 2022, Ashton graduated from UNC Charlotte with her Bachelors of Science in Construction Management. Since then, you may have seen her at various competitions like the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER500 regional events and the World of Concrete being involved in media within the industry. She is also known as “That Masonry Girl” across social media platforms where she shares her experience in the industry, promotes competitions, and encourages the younger generation to choose masonry as a career!
